Dear friend,
I’m on my way to Germany to teach Theatre That Reconnects: nature-inspired practices for social workers at a local technical university.
I realised I haven’t written to many of you on this list for quite some time, and being on the train felt like a good moment to reconnect and share a few reflections.
Over the years, Theatre That Reconnects has slowly become less something that I do and more a path that I am walking.
The more I teach, the more I realise how much I still have to learn. The more I practice, the more I see how much deeper there is still to go.
Theatre That Reconnects is not a new method or a shiny aid to sell. It is an invitation to be in relationship: with oneself, with one another, and with the living world around us.
I have decided to walk this path with others, without always knowing the destination, and sometimes without even knowing what the next step is.
I feel blessed to have a project like Soilify (soilify.it) that allows me to place this frame into action while supporting me in making this pathway as accessible as possible.
Since last year, I have also been co-hosting a pay-what-you-want monthly practice group, taking place on the last Thursday of every month. This month, as I am on the road, it will be co-hosted by Ramey Wood from Alaska, who has become a wonderful co-explorer over these past months and over the last year.
